Get a (new) grip

Seeing the awesome home turned grips Dman made for his partner's bike earlier in the week (clicky) reminded me of some I'd seen while back at Chopperdome.

My current ride (a Nirve Switchblade) has wonderful leather (or at least leather effect) grips that are an absolute delight after many years of foam, rubber and plastic numbers and I feel a bit OTT considering upgrading. Even still, I'm sorely tempted by the light and dark grips at Choppernation (click). At €39.95 they are certainly an investment but you're not likely to see a similar pair next time you pull up at the lights.

Better late than never

The thread has been on since around Christmas time but Dman from New Zealand has posted some truly awesome shots of a beach cruiser he made for his partner over on the Rat Rod Bikes site. I'm utterly utterly envious of the skill that guy has. Everything about this bike just works so well - check out the way the chain loops through the frame, the custom made grips from NZ sourced timber, the contrast between the paintwork and the white sidewalls and the simple clean graphics he's applied. It is completely faultless
