FBI IX - Dates announced!

Rhalf has managed to sneak this one under the radar - I had an e-mail from him yesterday with the dates on his signature at the bottom and today I spotted he's added the dates to the chopperdome.com website.

Whatevs, it is officially 28th July - 1st August 2010. See you there!

New Roadtrip Blog

Some of you may recall having seen Antti's bike at COTY (in case you forget there is a recap below), anyhoo the reason for all the badges beneath was that he had basically ridden from Helsinki to Amsterdam in additional to the paltry 100km most of us did. Those curious about the route he took and things he saw on the way can now catch up on his new blog here. Enjoy!

FBI 2009

Alas my better half and I both survived FBI 2009 and proudly returned home to Blighty with 100km patches to boot. A full report with pictures will be online later this week.
There will no doubt be a million and one posts of the weekend's events online before I even hit publish but needless to say it was a fantastic fantastic weekend. Many friends made, laughs shared and some epic bikes admired.

Massive thanks to Rhalf and Kitty for organising such an epic event and keeping things running smoothly, to the Swedes that took such great care of Anna and I and to all the other eccentrics that really made the weekend for us.

See you all next year all being well!

Choppernation 2009 (FBI 08)

As I'm on the verge of booking my flights to Amsterdam, I thought it might be good to post some images from FBIs of years gone by. For those of you new to choppers or haven't come across the event, it is a big meetup for riders and builders from all corners of Europe (and even further afield) in The Dam, all organised by the oracle of all things slow and low, Chopperdome. 2009 will be the first time I attend the event so add an RSS feed to this blog to keep up to speed with the event and see the images and videos first. For the time being, here are some from previous events. Click here for more information on this year's bash.
